I was in an accident

You don’t know what to do right now and where to turn to.

The insurance adjuster is calling you and asking you to all kinds of questions and is wanting you to sign documents to release your medical records. He’s also asking if he can take your recorded statement.

What do you do? Do you need to call a lawyer?

I understand your concerns and worries. You probably never thought you’d need a personal injury lawyer. Most people don’t. In fact most of the people who visit me tell me that they never thought they would ever need to hire a lawyer. And most don’t even know how to hire one when they need to.That sounds a lot like what you’re going through now.

Some of the victims who walk into my office are even ashamed to be here. They say things like “I don’t want to sue anyone” or “I’m not trying to get rich.”

It’s natural to feel that way. A good personal injury lawyer does not want to “screw over” anyone. Our job is all about honestly working for victims of car wrecks and accidents to make sure that they are compensated enough to take care of the injuries they received and damages that occurred when they were hurt by someone else’s carelessness and negligence.

I work extremely hard to make my clients happy and ensure that justice is done. This isn’t always an easy task, but it’s why I’m here.

Without looking more into your medical records, and without knowing the full extent of the problems you are still having it’s impossible to say exactly how much your case is worth. And I’d advise you to stay away from any lawyer who promises he or she can get some exact amount, they aren’t being upfront and honest with you.

But I can guarantee to you that, even after my fees are taken out, you will receive more than the insurance company is currently offering you. If I can’t do that then I will take no fee for my work.

Of course you can attempt to negotiate everything with the insurance company on your own. If you have tough skin and don’t mind grinding it out with the adjusters you most likely will be able to get them to raise their offer. I’m not sure how much they will raise it, but I feel confident that if you are tough with them you will be able to get something higher than there current offer. Just be careful what you say and what you sign, because anything you do could possibly be brought up later and used against you.
